Through my counseling practice, I hope to cultivate authentic, caring, and valued connections for youth and their families in order to build meaningful relationships that sustain growth. As a parent of two young children, and a practicing secondary school counselor, I understand how difficult it can be to navigate issues at home and/or at school. I strive to be a bridge between those two worlds to find viable solutions to help individuals through the challenges various phases of life bring.
Additionally, I am a solution-focused counselor and use simple, evidence-based approaches to help people recognize, develop and set goals to move forward in their growth and development. Although I am solution-focused, I am also person-centered, meaning I honor my client’s stories by meeting them where they are and helping them find solutions to their challenges. My end goal is to help individuals develop awareness of their thoughts and behaviors in order to become strong and resilient.
In my nine years of being a Professional School Counselor, I have worked with many students and families from all walks of life. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, I look forward to helping all individuals navigate the path to understanding, accepting, and healing.
